Die Kapitänin der Minnesota Gophers, Sydney Baldwin, unterschrieb einen Einjahresvertrag.

Sydney kann auf eine mehr als beeindruckende Karriere bei den Golden Gophers zurück blicken. Besonders in der letzten Saison konnte sie unzählige Rekorde und Auszeichnungen für sich verbuchen, unter anderem die Auszeichnung Defensive Player of the year.

Wie Blair und Caitlin ist auch Sydney in Minnesota aufwachsen. An der Highschool war sie eine Teamkollegin von Laura Bowman. Sydney war Mitglied des Team USA U-18-Frauen-Nationalteams und erreichte bei den U-18-Frauen-Weltmeisterschaften 2013 und 2014 mit dem Team USA Silber.

The Sabres are excited to announce that the captain of the Minnesota Gophers, Sydney Baldwin has signed a one year contract.

Sydney can look back on a more than impressive career with the Golden Gophers. Besides several other records and awards, she was named WCHA Player of the Year, WCHA Defensive Player of the Year, and All-WCHA First Team honoree last season.

Like Blair and Caitlin, Sydney also grew up in Minnesota. At High school she was a teammate of our last year's import Laura Bowman. Sydney was a member of the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team and earned silver with Team USA at the 2013 and 2014 IIHF U-18 Women's World Championships.
